Speaker Bio

Jonathan "Tech" Huffman. Jonathan's company, Maximum Entertainment, utilizes proprietary online and established offline methods to discover, develop, promote, distribute and merchandise entertainment content, all leading to a more "wired" and interactive entertainment future. Maximum Entertainment's Internet division, Maximum Networks, is currently developing a Digital Music System code named AROS. AROS removes numerous economic and geographic barriers and revolutionizes how record & film companies, record producers, radio stations, and fans "interact" with one-another. Jonathan believes that this convergence of the music/film business, technology and interactive media will forever change how entertainment is produced marketed and consumed.

Jonathan Huffman received his telling nickname, in high school. His buddies called him "High Tech" (later shortened to "Tech") because he was "always on another level". The original unconventional thinker, Tech is armed with contagious charisma and an unshakeable belief in the impossible ("Improbable", he would clarify,"not impossible"). In addition to being a successful entertainment business entrepreneur and leader, Tech is also a versatile, multi-talented writing, recording and performing artist and record producer.

As talent, he has performed in three world tours and over 1000 concerts with artists selling over 50 million records. He has worked with and/or opened for numerous artists including Run DMC, Public Enemy, Heavy D, Digital Underground, C&C Music Factory, MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice, Quad City, DJs Poor Righteous Teachers and more. He has been honored with an American Music Award and a People's Choice Award for his groundbreaking work as a performer.

Jonathan Huffman is a magnet for talent and leadership in business, entertainment and technology industries. He has assisted and led on-line and offline initiatives for Chuck D (RapStation.com), NSYNC (POPsuperstar.com). As an Internet specialist, Jonathan was named by First Conferences one of the entertainment industries 30 leaders under 30 years of age (30 under 30), and is viewed as an innovative leader in technology based interactive entertainment. Jonathan is a frequent keynote speaker and panelist at entertainment-technology conventions (held in Las Angeles, New York, Dallas, London and Hong Kong) such as the DDMI (Digital Distribution and the Music Industry), MIT Forum and Text One Zero.
